Moravian Karst
This protected landscape area of Moravian Karst is famous for being the deepest gorge in the Czech Republic; The Abyss (Macocha Gap). It is also famous for its stalactite caves of which the most famous are the Punkva Caves.

The protected Landscape Area of Moravian Karst is mainly famous bacause of the deepest gorge of the Czech Republic – The Abyss (Macocha gap). It´s also well-known for its stalactite caves which the most famous are:
- Punkva caves with the underground sailing boats.
- Sloupsko-sosuvske caves.
- Cave Balcarka.
- Catherine Cave.
- Cave Výpustek with the fallout shelter.
Things to Do
Not far away from the Old School Hotel are the ruins of castles Boskovice, Holštejn and Blansek and also the beautiful castles Rájec-Jestřebí, Boskovice and Letovice.
An unusual spectacle is offered by the windmills in Rudice, Ruprechtov and Ostrov.
For Families with Children
Children will enjoy the charms of the nearby Little Western Town in Boskovice. An interesting place to hike is Dinopark Vyskov, and the children can have more fun in the aquapark‘s in Boskovice, Blansko and Vyskov. For a beautiful and quiet place to walk there is the very small town of Column.
